The 6th Annual Celebrity Dim Sum event is taking place October 5, 2013 at Floata Seafood Restaurant with proceeds benefiting the AIDS Vancouver Asian Community Outreach Project. Celebrity servers include Frankie Cena, Mr. World Canada, CTV’s Coleen Christie, Global BC’s Sophie Lui, and Man About Town Fred Lee among others.

Green fashion to walk the catwalk
Eco Fashion Week is Vancouver’s biannual fashion week that will take to the runway October 6-10, 2013. This five day event lights up Robson Square with fashion shows and seminars on all things eco-fashion. Highlights include the ‘You Are Not Alone’ collection by Nicole Bridger, Value Village’s 68 Pound Challenge, and Holt Renfrew’s H Project.

Eat up Yaletown
Diners: get ready. The 9th Annual Taste of Yaletown (TOY) will run from October 16 to 27, 2013 offering $25, $35 and $45 prix fixe meals from 30 restaurants. For the first time ever, chefs will not be obligated to adhere to a three-course meal, meaning they can provide any combination under the three price points. Taste of Yaletown has also added lunch meals, and a free trolley service to Yaletown.
